Dave Bonan
I will be starting as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University in January 2027. I am currently a CICOES Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Washington and a visiting scientist at the National Center for Atmospheric Research. I earned my Ph.D. in Environmental Science and Engineering from the California Institute of Technology and my B.S. in Atmospheric Sciences from the University of Washington. I grew up near Boulder, Colorado, where I developed a strong appreciation for the environment and the outdoors through activities such as climbing, hiking, running, biking, and skiing. During my time in Los Angeles, I also developed a love for surfing.
